Today, I spent some more time looking for my lost beloved John Schneider album. During my search, I realized that I have been really neglecting my records. So, this evening, I decided to listen to some. They included:
Electric Light Orchestra - On the Third Day (side two)
Duran Duran - Seven and the Ragged Tiger (side one)
Glen Campbell - Wichita Lineman (side two)
Little Feat - Sailin' Shoes (side one)
Seals & Crofts - Summer Breeze (side one)
I just don't get Electric Light Orchestra. But I loved that Seals and Crofts album side.
But John Schneider is still lost.

What with your list of only one side per record, I have this weird thought that you racked them all up on an old-school, stack-the-spindle record player. (The kind from before we called them "turntables".)
Jasmine on my mind, etc.
No, I used to have a record player like that, but not anymore.
I have this huge pile of records (probably close to 100) that I need to file. So, I was listening to one album side before filing the record away. I still have a huge pile left... mostly compilations and Joan Baez records.
Henry told a "wichita Lineman" joke last week that floored me. He was imitating Julie, the voice of Amtrak, and then put himself on hold and broke into "I am a lineman for the county..." and I pretty much lost it on I-85.
What 16 y.o. does that?
Only a 16 YO with a dad and stepmom who are weird enough to introduce him to Glen Campbell. And ukuleles.
I wonder what I should listen to while I brush my teeth....BOLERO!!!! (old NY Philharmonic recording). Shit, I love this song.
you don't get ELO?!?
No. At least not this record. I didn't like it. Sorry. :(
Is there another record that I should try? I know you are a huge ELO fan...
No our Glen Campbell exposure would be more on the Galveston and Southern Nights side of things. He came up with Wichita Lineman on his own, as music Amtrak actually plays on their hold soundtrack.
Charlotte -- for tooth brushing, I highly encourage the use of Pink Martini's "Bolero" rendition. Actually, I encourage the of any of their pieces. For any purpose.
